Sora becomes Sally

Adopted September 30th 2012!

Sora, is an adorable 18 pound chihuahua/beagle mix from Lil’ Monsters rescue. She apparently came to them via a Georgia at age 1. She was a mess when Lil' Monsters got her - worms, fleas, a funny cough  - and she was terrified of everything. She couldn't even be walked or approached; she just lay flat on the floor and shook with fear.
Sora has come an incredibly long way.

Sora is now a healthy and wonderful dog, deserving of a good life. She is sweet, affectionate, calm and great with big and small dogs. She has an excellent off leash recall, walks well on a leash and is housebroken. Although she is still visibly nervous with new people and new situations, she warms up quickly. She has never exhibited any aggression with people or dogs, and is remarkably patient and gentle with children. Her main issue is separation anxiety - she cries when she is left alone in the house. She recently was started on Reconcile and a behavior modification program is in progress. In the last few weeks, she has successfully spent days at day care and overnights with friends. Sora is truly a diamond in the rough. There is no doubt that, for the right person or family, she will be an extraordinary companion.
